Well, these slipcovers just make me pale white in envy so I recently had my dear mother sew up one for an old settee.

(via Country Living Magazine)
This is my inspiration for the slipcover I had my mom sew (also from Country Living Mag)

This was the ol' French theme settee which doesn't go with my decor anymore
The upholstery has a french cafe design with a fabric similar to a french tapestry
Et voila...here is the new slipcover!
Now I just have to add one of my existing throwpillows...what do you think...this one?
This one?
Or these?

HI Marie, You know that first image is of Laurne Ross' home in Texas. I recogize it from it being in a post by Cote de Texas..her rooms are going to be in the book I just ordered and posted about! I am still waiting for it to arrive, but am really excited to get~I love that room too!! YOur mom did a great job on the slipcover. Did she use a matlesse bedspread or what? I love the tie details in back and the kick pleated skirt!
Beautiful Marie! I love the settee slipcovered! I think about white slipcovers sometimes too- so dreamy! I am loving the french pillow in the bottom pic the most but they are all lovely choices! :)

Hi Marie, I love those inspirational photos... I have them saved in my inspiration book. :) It's amazing what a white slipcover can do for a piece of outdated furniture... just lovely!
Happy one year blogiversary!!

Hi Marie,
I feel fortunate to have found you in your 1st year blogging. Your cottage is beautiful.
As for the pillow on the settee, I like the 2nd pillow with the lady on it... something about it just makes me think Y-O-U!
Hi Marie! Thanks for popping over to my blog today! :) I love meeting new blog-sistas who share the same loves! Thank you for saying my kitchen looked French. I needed to hear that! It's the look I've been slowly moving toward here at Heaven's Walk. In fact, I'm currently looking at a different pendant light (more farmhouse-y) to replace the frilly chandy in the kitchen. I want to bring in a tad bit more of an industrial look and move away from the ruffly-frilly French look.
Your slipcovers are just wonderful! How blessed you are to have a mom who can sew for you! Love them! She did a beautiful job! :)
xoxo laurie
I love the slipcover and the last picture with the blanket and pillows is my favorite. It looks so cozy!
Congratulations on your blog anniversary! Your mom did a wonderful job on the slipcover. It's beautiful. I like the look of all of the pillows. I guess it depends on what else you have in the room, although I think the last two would go with anything :-) Just beautiful.
Blessings,
Marcia
Your Mom did an amazing job! It looks fabulous! I like the second photo.
Have a pretty day!

Wow!! Way to go mom!! I'm definitely liking the third set of pillows...the one with the fleur-de-lis and the one with the ruffles. Beautiful job!
God Bless,
Kathleen
That is one of my favorite rooms too. I Love all the ruffles on the slipcovers. Now if I could talk your mom into making me one too. Your home is beautiful for sure. I love the bed in the latest post. I can't wait to come back and read more. Have a wonderful weekend.
