Well, gosh darn it...this year, I'm acting on it and have decided to turn my passions into profits. One of the things I've read is that VISUALIZING is key to success.

Oui oui mes amis, I picked no other than Marie Antoinette as the image for Marie's Maison...is there a better choice, non? With my new biz card, I've also fashioned a T-shirt and a tote bag. They spell out Mariesmaison.com and my "four favorite things to do"

Ahh yes, I'm having so much fun starting up my new biz venture. But don't worry, I'm not quitting my day job yet (that's what funds all these). This is a part-time venture...like I said "un petite" steps toward my big dream! Speaking of...here are a few recent creations at Marie's Maison and are now for sale...
Here's a found vintage window pane...I've cleaned it up...
and added a few decal...instant wall art called L'oiseau bleu ($59)

Having fun with silhouettes, my inspiration was a vintage find of the lady with the black/gold frame I found at an antique shop. The silhouette on top with the ribbon was my creation by just printing and cutting the image. The antique inspired frame was from Aaron Brothers.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take a before of this storage seat. The top seat was just plain black vinyl so I covered it up with burlap and ironed on this sweet looking bird cage.

Ooh! how I want to be you, I would love to open my own shop but the costs here are so high, now I have customers come to my home, not very convenient but that's the only way for me.
You are very lucky and brave, I hope you do well and follow your dreams.

CONGRATULATIONS Marie ... I wish you great success with your new venture! I think you have such a gift and it's wonderful you'll be sharing it with others! Like Nita above, I really wish I could come shop in person. Maybe when you get really famous you'll allow me to open up a chain here in Canada (lol)!
