My Life in a Tiffany Bleu House

Signs of Spring

After a downpour of heavy rain last week, I'm so ecstatic to see some signs of spring here at Marie's Maison.

This Momma hummingbird built her nest just three weeks ago, and now here are her two tiny baby hummers. Isn't this the sweetest thing ever?

In my front yard, already getting a profusion of white flowers

And the sweetest smelling scent of pink jasmine!

These white chippy garden pieces are my latest finds from a salvage yard. The pair of shutters, balusters and metal bistro set were priced right at $70 dollars. They are just impossibly irresistible.

My kind of look for spring!

And these pieces?...Thrift store jackpot finds

The night stands are now transformed to these

More thrift store finds...a collection of glass bottles

A 3-tiered etagere

Vintage inspired flower buckets

I made these bundled vintage books, a Restoration Hardware knock-off...only better ;-)

Mostly now for sale in mon petite shoppe at Olde Ivy Antiques

Ahh, spring IS in the air at Marie's Maison but not here at Suburban Retreat! Your first blooms are lovely and the birds precious! I love all your newest garden treasures and those wee tables have been completely transformed into French Chic! Your customers must be delighted with your wares!

Ah! Mon amie, I am soooo jealous of your tres manifique jardon. It will still be months before mine even begins to look like that with snow still on the ground (and more expected tomorrow!). Oh spring has not yet sprung here in the Northeast and your pictures will have to suffice until it does.
Merci beaucoup for sharing!

Marie, I am so looking forward to spring! Your garden is looking pretty already. The hummingbird is so sweet! I think your books look better than Restoration Hardware. You rock! I also like the shade of brown you used on your little tables. Nice!

Have a great week!

Wow! It sure looks like spring! I've never seen a hummingbird like that, with nest and babies, they are sooo cute. Looking at your pictures, I noticed that I have a bottle like the crown decanter, do you have any idea how old those are?

Hi Marie,
My bottle is like the one you have in the picture before the last one, (the one in the middle with the tag "crown decanter") now I know more about it, I'm so excited that it is French!
Thank you!

Awww... I LOVE the sweet picture of the hummingbirds, Marie! Spring is definitely on its way for us, too... can't wait! The verbena bushes down our driveaway are getting ready to bloom their white flowers, as well as the fruitless pear trees that we have scattered throughout the garden... can't wait! I see your pink jasmine is about to burst into blooms. Ours isn't quite ready yet... don't you just love the scent?!
Love all the goodies you have in your shop, too!
Have a great day!
