My Life in a Tiffany Bleu House

I painted Marie's Maison Tiffany Bleu as a reminder that this is the best jewelry box I ever received!

A Reflection

While I cannot emphasize enough how lucky I am to be living within walking distance to the ocean, I cannot help but reflect how its beauty and serenity can create so much ugliness and devastation in an instant!

This was me fishing at dusk the same month last year in my corner of the world, feeling peaceful and serene.

Just like that, beautiful and tranquil villages like ours...

Can be wiped out into something like these...instantly!

Today, as I look at these photos after the ocean's terrible wrath, my heart aches for the people in Japan.

(photos above via MSN)

Totally incomprehensible and makes me contemplate about humanity and how vulnerable we really are.

Sorry for not being able to read your blogs lately...soon I promise to return.

Marie, what a touching post. The sand sculpture is amazing. DId someone build that close to you?

The devastation in Japan is just horrible. So many people didn't have time to flee before the tsunami. My heart breaks for them. Now we watch and wait about the nuclear stuff. I just saw where traces of radiation are coming in at O'Hare airport in Chicago on the plane coming in from China.

Life on this planet is so very fragile, especially against such a powerful, strong force as Mother Nature. My prayers go out to the people of Japan!

This is beautiful Marie. I suppose we are only here as long as this beautiful earth lets us be . . . we should enjoy it while we can. It overwhelms me though to see how good people can be when it matters most.
Take care ~

Marie, I can't express how I'm feeling. I did post about it, but words really don't cut it in a time like this.
Miss you,

Dear Marie,
I`m totally with you, even if I`m not living near by the sea.But I understand you completely....
Every day we watch and listen to the latest news about Japan and there`s really a lot of discussion about our power plants here in germany. The people want a change and no one wants a nuclear catastrophe nowhere in this world. So we have to protect nature and sometimes we have to protect mankind for itselve...
Hope, this will never happen to your beautiful coastline!
All the best to you,Marie!
Beate :) XX
