It was really flattering receiving lots of questions and emails complimenting my master bedroom after it was published recently in Romantic Magazine. The truth is, I have been wanting to redo the master bedroom, so a week after the photo shoot, I've started changing things around.
Here's the before-

And now, this is how it looks -

Not a dramatic change, but the sheets, the canopy, the window treatment are all new. Also, I added more shutters, so that back wall is mostly shutters.

I really love this fabric called "french script"

The french lavenders are all from my garden. I was told that lavender is a good cure for sleeplessness, it relaxes the mind and body. So, I usually have them around the bedroom or even tuck dried lavender inside my pillows.

The best thing about my master bedroom is that it opens up to my back garden.

This hammock is where I take afternoon naps during the hot days of summer.

OMGosh...LOVE every detail of this room from the new fabric to the shutters to most definately the french doors. And the hammock...it's straight out of dreamy magazine! You outdid yourself with this redo. :)
Wonderfully inspirational blog! I'm your newest follower!

Well, its pretty and then more pretty. You are lucky that it opens up to your back garden. I'd love for a bedroom that did that and actually may put french doors in my back bedroom so that mine will too. Unfortunately, my back bedroom has the driveway and garage to look out to...so it would take some creativity to make it a fantastic view....I think it can be done but will take some work.
I picked up a copy of the magazine....just had to show my Mom my friend's house all published and all. She was very impressed!
Oh this is a beautiful room! I love the french doors that lead out to your gorgeous patio and hammock! What a lovely place!
It's so romantic. I love the french doors into your gardens. We have plans to someday tear out some windows and put in french doors to our gardens too...in the living room and possibly our bedroom. If the gas prices ever go back down and we can afford to make a road trip down south(haven't been in 7 yrs) I will definetly cruise by your Tiffany Bleu Maison...and hopefully have the courage to knock on the door and say Hi! I'd love to stroll thru your gardens. ox
Oh My Marie! I am in love with your bedroom!! I love that french script fabric too and the trim on it is so perfect. Well I found your magazine as I was headed on a plane trip, and was excited to see the layout! Your home is beautiful and I am happy for you to be in Romantic Home!
Hello Marie... I loved your bedroom in Romantic Country, and it is even more beautiful now!... I especially love that it opens onto your gorgeous garden... xoxo Julie Marie
The before is amazing but, the after.....I love the extra shutters!!! It's beautiful!! The hammock is to die for!!
Marie, I agree that the best thing about your master bedroom is the pair of French doors which allow your gorgeous garden in!!! I love the new fabric and bedding. I also like the added shutters and the texture it gives your bedroom. I am amazed because who would have thought you could have improved your before look? It was gorgeous, too. I need to scoot over to Cielo's and see what other folks are posting.
Thanks for sharing your pretty room with us!

Oh Marie, your bedroom is soooooo pretty, I don't know where to start, the pillows, the canopy, the shutters, the headboard and footboard, everything, I love everything. I decided to be un corageous fille this year, I'm starting little by little re-doing my bedroom (not that ever was done) but pretty soon, I will have it finished.
Thank you for brightening my day with those pictures, It's been raining for 3 days here, no sun of flowers, just rain.
Have a fantastic day and thank you for sharing!

Stunning! The green wallpaper really complements the lush environment of your garden, and the glass door really adds style to it.
