My Life in a Tiffany Bleu House

I painted Marie's Maison Tiffany Bleu as a reminder that this is the best jewelry box I ever received!

Front Yard

Spring is here so it's time to get out there and clean up my front yard.

I've always loved the front yard below which I found in Better Homes and Gardens a few years ago. This was my inspiration when I transformed mine from a barren nothing but grass.

I've also had this dream that people can just come in and join me for tea anytime I'm around which is why I love a cute gated entry to an all around picket fence.

This is what my front garden looks like now. A little overgrown, and needs a bit of sprucing up.

Mon cheri to the rescue! We're planting some veggies in our veggie box.

Mostly from seeds. Do you know that even Walmart now sells organic seeds and soil. That's where I got these seeds.

Anyway, that's one of the things we did this weekend. Can't wait for harvesting time in three months. Meanwhile, I would love to have this garden bench in my front yard.

Happy Spring to all! When you have a moment, come visit my Etsy shoppe for a lot of spring items I added recently.

Frenchy Style Vignettes

I recently added un petite vignette in a corner of my bedroom that quietly screams ooh la la! The louvre shutters are found at an architectural salvage yard during my trip to Berkeley last month. They are really old and standing tall at 7 feet. The dress form is a bargain find from Beverly's Crafts. The lavender flowers are freshly picked from my front yard, and last but not least, the Louis Vuitton bag was a gift from mon cheri five years ago.

How does it look...is it French enough?

Speaking of French style vignettes, I found a load of inspirational photos from Art et Decoration, one of my fave French magazines.

Can't remember where I found this photo, but OMG, I love this room!!!

The photos below are from House Beautiful

And the next two photos are Brooke Gianetti's home. Seriously, she has the most beautiful home in Santa Monica. If you haven't seen her book, Patina Style, it's a must see!

Here's my un petite vignette again. I love that dress form by the way, it perfectly holds some of my bags and necklaces.

Au revoir for now!

A Visit at the San Diego Zoo

It was such a beautiful weekend here in San Diego. My daughter and her boyfriend visited so we took a trip to the zoo. Since we've moved to the north coastal part of San Diego, we don't visit the zoo often enough, but every time we get a chance to, we really enjoy our visit.

This is one of the connecting bridge to get to the zoo. This neighborhood is called Balboa Park. It's very green with lots of old trees and beautiful museums and architecture! The buildings in the background is downtown San Diego.

This is the "skyfari" inside the zoo if you want a view from above.

Hello Handsome!

Isn't he dreamy?

And here's his little cousin striking a pose for me

Come visit the San Diego Zoo if you are ever in town. It's definitely a "not to miss" attraction!

Spring In My Garden

The freesias in my front garden are now blooming so happily for me.

This is the first sign of spring for me because these were bulbs I planted three years ago.

And they continue to cheerfully show their beauty for all to see.

They have the sweetest and subtle scent so I like to put them in my bedroom to add fragrance.

Even the mums are blooming like crazy as well. Looking at them makes me smile.

Spring sure has sprung in my garden and as a novice gardener, I am proud!

Happy Spring to all my dearest friends in blogland!
